Today’s featured artist is a duo hailing from Utah named Seve vs. Evan. Consisting of mainly a keyboard and drums, their songs sound like sweet awesome with some kitschy verses thrown into the mix. Today’s video features their song ‘Destination Tokyo’ which was featured in a Burton Snowboarding clip.

For this week’s person of the week, I am pleased to present Lillian Gish.

A portrait of Lillian Gish from 1921. Gish was one of the first female movie stars, called The First Lady of the Silent Screen, starting in 1912 and continuing to appear in films until 1987. The American Film Institute named Gish 17th among the greatest female stars of all time and awarded her a Life Achievement Award, making her the only recipient who was a major figure in the silent era.

Today’s featured crafter falls more into the realm of Arts and Crafts rather than strictly crafts. Nonetheless, I am pleased to present today’s featured ‘crafter’ Barking Bird Art.

Barking Bird Art is made by a woman named Rebecca who lives in Portland, Oregon ‘with a baby, a teenager, a husband, two nice cats and a REALLY stubborn dog’. Her illustrations are fab and simple, and never lack in cuteness.
